A Proud Moment for Munny, and a Reflection of the Team Behind It
Every so often, a moment arrives that reminds you why you started, what you stand for and who you’re building alongside.
For Munny, this is one of those moments.
At the 2026 Money Awareness and Inclusion Awards, the global benchmark for financial literacy and inclusion, Munny was recognised in two categories:
Winner – Best Fintech for eM Our AI Powered Money Coach
Runner Up – Best Adult Education (For‑Profit) for our Money Coach work in professional sport
To be acknowledged once on a global stage is an achievement. To be recognised twice, in two very different categories, is something that fills me with immense pride and happiness for the team.
Because more importantly, it says something about the people behind Munny.
Why this recognition matters
The MAIAs celebrate organisations helping people make better financial decisions and improve their financial wellbeing. This year’s finalists came from every corner of the world the US, Kenya, Canada, Australia, El Salvador and the UK, with a record number of entries and the most competitive judging process to date.
Against that backdrop, Munny was named Best Fintech for our use of technology and AI to make financial coaching more accessible. The judges highlighted our work ensuring that anyone, anywhere, can access a personalised money coach 24/7.
For me, this award isn’t about technology. It’s about access, and the belief that financial guidance should be about everybody.
Breaking down barriers to financial support
Too many people still face barriers when it comes to financial help:
Advice can be expensive
Coaching can be hard to access
Education often arrives at the wrong moment
eM was built to challenge that by delivering guidance 24/7 at the point of need, when questions need answering.
From day one, our mission has been simple: make financial wellbeing support more accessible, engaging and relevant. Whether someone is trying to understand their payslip, build their credit score, save for a home or plan for retirement, they should be able to get support when they need it, not when the system decides they should.
Our AI‑powered platform, eM, is a major step toward that vision. It bridges the gap between traditional financial education and real‑life financial decisions, giving people personalised guidance at the moment they need it most.
Winning Best Fintech tells us we’re on the right path.
Recognition for our work in professional sport
I’m equally proud of our recognition in the Best Adult Education category for our Money Coach programme in professional sport.
We’ve had the privilege of supporting footballers and athletes at different stages of their careers, helping them navigate financial decisions that are often unique to elite sport.
Behind the headlines and the contracts, the reality is clear:
Careers can be short
Earnings can fluctuate
Planning for life after sport is essential
Our programme was designed to provide independent, practical and trusted support that helps players build confidence and make informed decisions throughout their careers.
Seeing this work recognised globally is deeply meaningful. It reflects the impact that relevant, timely and human financial education can have.
This is a team achievement
Awards are never won by organisations. They’re won by people, when they share a common goal.
This recognition belongs to:
The entire Munny team
Our partners and clients
The thousands of individuals who engage with our content, workshops, coaching and digital tools every year
Your belief in our mission, and your commitment to delivering it with integrity, is what makes moments like this possible.
It also reinforces something we’ve believed from the start: Financial wellbeing deserves a seat at the table alongside physical and mental wellbeing.
When people feel more confident about their finances, they’re better equipped to make decisions, plan for the future and focus on what matters most.
What comes next
This milestone doesn’t mark the end of anything. It marks the beginning of the next chapter.
We’ll continue to:
Invest in our technology
Innovate in how financial education is delivered to ensure revelence.
Expand access to personalised support
Champion financial wellbeing for everyone
Our mission remains unchanged: Help people make better money decisions and improve financial wellbeing for all.
A heartfelt thank you to the MAIAs judging panel, and congratulations to all the winners and finalists around the world who are pushing financial wellbeing forward.
The future is brighter when we work together. I’m proud that Munny is playing its part.
